Edward “Ed” Pereira, 88, of Hilo died Sept. 15 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was proprietor of many apartments in Hilo. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps (World War II) and also was a captain in the Civil Air Patrol in Hilo.
